Description: Medical Transport - Other
Location: Sports Center

Notes: A CSO responded to a report that a community member had been injured in the sports center. American Medical Response was called and transported the injured party to the hospital.

Description: Animal Issue
Location: Off Campus

Notes: A student arrived at 28 West to report that early the previous day they had been approached by two individuals with dogs. During this interaction one of the dogs bit the student and the individuals brandished weapons. The student reported that they were uninjured. Community Safety has been given descriptions of the individuals and their dogs should they enter campus.

Location: Physical Plant

Notes: A CSO investigated a call about graffiti on the physical plant but found that much of what had been reported and documented had already been painted over.

Description: Suspicious Person/Activity/Circumstances
Location: Birchwood Apartments

Notes: A CSO on patrol at the Birchwood apartments encountered a unit door that was unsecured. After requesting a second CSO on scene for back-up, the CSOs cleared and secured the apartment, finding evidence of a person living there. The CSOs called the on-call manager who requested the police. The police did another sweep of the unit to ensure there were no unauthorized occupants inside.

Location: Birchwood Apartments

Notes: While aiding a fellow CSO in a separate Birchwood incident (see blotter report 230254), a CSO noted an unsecured apartment window. The police officers that had been called to investigate in report 230254 did a sweep of this apartment as well and found no evidence of anyone being inside.

Location: Canyon House

Notes: A CSO on patrol of the Canyon House noted evidence of drug use as well as fecal matter on the porch. Building services was contacted for clean up.

Description: Medical Transport - Other
Location: Academic building

Notes: A CSO responded to a request for medical assistance at an academic building. The CSO met with an individual who had received injuries in a fall. American Medical Response was called, assessed the injured party, and determined the individual needed to be transported to a medical facility for further treatment.

 

CS Survey Responses:

Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.
